Directions for how to get to Lyth Arts Centre.
Head north using the A9 which offers motorway-like driving conditions through central Scotland and the Grampian Mountains.
The road by-passes all the towns including Perth and Inverness and continues as fast new road as far as the turn off to Dornoch.
From then on driving conditions are poorer and some sections of the road are much narrower with tight bends.
In particular, beware of the section north of Helmsdale and again at Berriedale Braes with dangerous bends at the bottom and a very tight hairpin bend half way up the other side.
At Latheron, where the A9 forks left towards Thurso, you bear right onto the A99 towards Wick.
Follow the signs for John O' Groats through Wick and look out for a junction three miles further on at Reiss where the A99 (formerly A9) turns off to the right AS DO YOU.
Three miles later, after crossing a new bridge over a pipeline rail track, look out for the Lyth turning where you leave the A99 and turn left.
Four miles later, after a Z bend over a narrow bridge, continue for five hundred yards until you see our sign. Turn right here and you will see the Centre (old school and schoolhouse) set back from the road on the right surrounded by trees.
